Our Statement of Faith
1. The Scriptures Inspired
We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament, to be wholly inspired (I Thessalonians 2:13), infallible (II Timothy 3:15-17), inerrant (Deuteronomy 4:2), authoritative Word of God (II Peter 1:20-21).
2. The One True God
We believe that there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father (I John 5:6-8), Son (Matthew 28:18,19), and Holy Spirit (John 14:16-19).
3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, which the scriptures declare:
A. His Virgin Birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35)
B. His Sinless Life (II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:22)
C. His Miracles (Acts 2:22, John 5:5-9)
D. His Substitutionary Work on the Cross (Romans 5:8-10; I Corinthians 15:3).
E. His Bodily Resurrection From the dead (Matthew 28:1-10; II Corinthians 5:21).
F. His Ascension to the Right Hand of God (Acts 2:33; Hebrews 1:3).
G. His Personal Future Return in Power and Glory (Matthew 24:27, 30; Acts 1:9-11).
4. The Fall of Man
We believe man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in Our own image” (Genesis 1:26, 27). However, man by Birth (Romans 5:12-13) and by Choice (Ephesians 2:1-4) fell from God's grace and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
5. The Salvation of Man
We believe man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God (Romans 3:24, 25). Salvation is received through repentance and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9, 10), and by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:5-7).
6. The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Ephesians 1:4, 13) and empowered to be an effective witness (Acts 1:8).
7. The Ordinances of the Church
We believe there are two ordinances that the Lord instructs His church to observe in His Word:
A. Baptism with Water: The ordinance of baptism is commanded in Scriptures. All who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized (Matthew 28:19). Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).
B. Holy Communion: The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements — Bread and the fruit of the vine — is the symbol expressing a memorial of His suffering and death (I Corinthians 11:26; Matthew 26:26).
8. The Church and Its Mission
We believe the Church is the unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the Body of Christ which makes up the Local and the Universal church (Ephesians 1:22, 23; 2:22).
The Mission of the Local and Universal Church is:
A. To be a unified body in which man may Worship God (I Corinthians 12:13).
B. To be channel of God’s purpose to build a body of believers being perfected in the image of His Son. (Ephesians 4:11-16; I Corinthians 12:28).
C. To be an agency of God for evangelizing the world (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19, 20).
9. The Ministry
We believe in a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in:
A. Worship of God (John 4:23,24).
B. Building a body of believers, being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11, 16).
C. Evangelization of the world (Mark 16:15-20).
10. Divine Healing
We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel (Isaiah 53:4, 5). Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement (Matthew 8:16, 17), and is the privilege of all believers (James 5:14-16).
11. The Blessed Hope & Millennial Reign of Christ
We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ (I Thessalonians 4:15,16) and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:17) is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
We believe the Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6).
12. The Final Judgment
We believe there will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works (Revelation 20:11, 12). Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will be cosigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire which burns with fire with and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20; 20:13-15).
13. The New Heaven and the New Earth
We believe that God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth as declared in His Word (II Peter 3:13; Revelation 21 and Revelation 22).
